VISHUDDHA CHAKRA
Vishuddha Chakra or Throat Chakra is the primary fifth chakra according to the Hindu tradition. The responsible for communication, growth and expression.
It works closely with the sacral chakra. Vishuddha Chakra allows you to express creative ideas.
Vishuddha Chakra is located at the base of the throat, at the centre of the larynx.
REPRESENTATION AND SYMBOL
It is represented as a lotus with sixteen petals. It encompasses a downward-facing triangle surrounding a circle. It is inspired by the moon, purity and cosmic sound.
The transcendence of human consciousness is itself an act of cleansing.
In order to accomplish that level of purification, the Vishuddha Chakra must be open and balanced.
Within the Hindu tradition, the lotus flower itself is associated with
- Beauty
- Fertility
- Spirituality
- Eternity
The sixteen lotus petals surrounding the Vishuddha Chakra symbol are often inscribed with Sanskrit letters, namely, the vowels.
The inverted triangle of the Vishuddha Chakra symbol is also symbolic of spiritual growth.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE THROAT CHAKRA IS BLOCKED OR OUT OF BALANCE
When the Vishuddha Chakra is blocked or misaligned, you may have communication, listening, and creativity issues.
Blockage in Vishuddha Chakra can also lead to symptoms like thyroid imbalance, sore throat, hearing difficulties.
When the Vishuddha Chakra is imbalanced, our communication breaks, and we refuse to listen to our inner self to others.
