DEDICATED TO ALL MY TEACHERS AND MY FAMILY

ORIGIN

The Korugi Japanese Facial Massage is a technique invented by the Japanese therapist Chiyo Hayashi and has become famous for its effectiveness.

There is collagen in the skin; the massage dissipates fat and massages the muscles under the skin.

The massage is quite intense and requires strong friction on the face.

WHAT IS KORUGI JAPANESE FACIAL MASSAGE

The Korugi Japanese Facial Massage is a Japanese technique of facial treatment. The massage is typically done professionally in one-hour-long sessions.

On the other hand, it can be done at home as well in shorter bursts.

This helps the muscles to tense and relax, snapping them back to their original, stronger form.

This massage is performed in order to release tension in the muscles of your face.

This can reduce swelling, smooth wrinkles, and provide a more youthful appearance.

PROCEDURE

There are a few steps to follow while doing a Korugi Japanese Facial Massage:

STEP 1 – CHEEK LIFT

Make a fist and rest them against your cheekbones with the fingers against your face. Stay in the position for 5 seconds.

STEP 2 – WORKING WITH THE FOREHEAD

Take the fists to press your forehead on the hairline with your middle finger knuckles.

Continue pressing while descending the hands toward the temples and the earlobes along the hairline.

STEP 3 – SMOOTHING THE CHEEKS AND FOREHEAD

Keep your hand locked together and place the tip of the right thumb under the left eye near the nose. Make a descending motion toward the ears by pressing the skin.

Meanwhile, for the forehead, place the middle knuckles of your fingers slightly above the brow line and make a rubbing movement towards the hairline.

STEP 4  – OPENING THE EYES

Make a fist, lift up your brows and descend your hand along the brow line with the assistance of the knuckles of the index and middle fingers.

STEP 5 – WORKING WITH THE LOWER PART OF THE FACE AND FINISHING THE MASSAGE

Make a fist ready and keep the index and middle finger straight up. Press and pull your skin cogently from the chin towards the temples.

Start from the place that is beneath the corner bends of the mouth. You should make 8 – 10 movements in total.

As for the finishing, open your palms, place your fingers on your forehead, slide them smoothly towards the temples, and slowly slide your fingers from your cheeks to your collarbones along the side of your neckline.
